Mafex Rogue One Darth Vader VS S.H. Figuarts Darth Vader… I know people have wanted to see this ever since the latest Figuarts Darth Vader was released. There are plenty of cons and pros to each figure. Let’s break it down:
Mafex Rogue One Darth Vader VS S.H. Figuarts Darth Vader – Sculpt
Hands down, the Mafex looks better. It’s almost impossible to take a bad profile picture for this Vader. The Figuarts has some issues in the snout area of the sculpt.

The Figuarts version lacks all of the fun Vader hands. Choking, pointing, and pushing. The Mafex has an octopus’ amount of hands, give or take.

As mentioned, the Mafex figure looks great, and it lacks the dumb chain the Figuarts version has wrapped around its neck. The helmet problems on the Figuarts seems to be multilayered. The top is too long and doesn’t come out in front enough. The snout is way too long. The Mafex has a pretty bitchin’ codpiece. So there’s that.

I am going to break with tradition here. Normally the most votes win. In this case, that would be the Mafex. However, I am awarding the Figuarts as the best figure. It’s a better figure. It’s more solid, holds up poses better and most importantly, does not fall apart. The Mafex looks better but by far, the Figuarts is the better of the two action figures.
