The Black Series Second Sister figure is based on a character originally found in a Star Wars Marvel comic. The Second Sister has now been featured as the main antagonist in this year’s Star Wars Fallen Order game. She is a Sith Inquisitor and if you ever watched the Rebels TV series, you should be familiar with their main occupation.
If you did not watch Rebels, let me catch you up: They are former Jedi Knights and Masters who have fallen to the dark side. They now hunt down Jedi in hiding for their Sith masters, Palpatine and Vader.
And they are really good at it.
In the game, we learn the Second Sister’s identity, but I won’t spoil that for you.
As you probably know by now, I appreciate anything that expands the boundaries of the Star Wars Universe, so both the game and the reintroduction of the character were welcome events.
How does the Black Series Second Sister figure stack up?
What comes in the Black Series Second Sister box?
Not a lot, but about what you’d expect from a Black Series figure. We get the figure itself. We get a rubbery cape, shoulder pads for when she isn’t wearing a cape, and a double bladed lightsaber with removable blades.

What doesn’t work with the Black Series Second Sister figure?
Her cape is useful if you pose her in a very vanilla stance. After that, it quickly slides into different levels of frustrating.
Sure, you think, “I won’t use the cape then, ha” and then you try to make those shoulder pads work and you quickly remember that wish you made on that monkey’s paw at that carnival. Getting those things to go in, look decent, and stay in, is fairly impossible.
Like every Black Series figure, the Black Series Second Sister only has one set of hands. The issue with these hands is they’re really only good for holding her lightsaber, and hanging out at truck stops.
As with all helmeted figures, from Boba Fett to Iron Man, the helmet does not look big enough to contain a human head. Why can’t people figure out the human head has to fit INSIDE of the helmet?
Finally, the paint apps on the helmet were sloppy. Ironically, I recently picked up the Carbonized version of this figure as my first Carbonized figure, and her paint apps were much cleaner. At least looking at her through the box.
What works with the Black Series Second Sister figure?
The Black Series Second Sister is a decent looking representation of the character we see in the video game. I also like the Empire logo on her shoulder attached to the useless cape.
Should you purchase the Black Series Second Sister figure?
Look, if you’re a Second Sister fan, or a Fallen Order fan, this is it. This is going to be your only option. I like having plastic 6 inch representations of characters and intellectual properties that bring me joy.
As such, the Black Series Second Sister fits the bill. Barely.
She won’t be the star of your display, but maybe you can impress a casual fan with the depth of your nerdness like I hope to do one day.

It doesn’t look like her price is going up at all, so if you’re a patient person, you could end up getting the Black Series Second Sister for a song and a dance. Here are a few more pictures for your enjoyment.
