I have a lot of the Extreme Pop up stuff. They can greatly enhance both your photographs and also your shelves.
If I have so many, why haven’t I wrote about them before?
Well, great question. Mind your business.
Still here? Damn. Ok.
Because mentioning them officially is almost like breaking the 4th wall. By themselves, if you photograph them in flat light, they look like pieces of cardboard with pretty pictures on them. When you shoot them in the proper light, you can get a very realistic looking shot.
They all do that, so why is this one different? Because this one has pretty much one purpose. While the others could be an alley, or a house, or a transit station, etc, etc, etc ANYWHERE, the Cave pop up seems to be for one purpose: Creating a Batcave. Included in the Extreme Sets Cave Pop Up Diorama kit is (just copied and pasted this from their website):
- Five (5) 20” wide x 14” tall panels (Connect them as you wish)
- Two (2) 3D tables
- One (1) giant ground panel 38″ wide x 28″ deep
- One (1) 3D Suit Display
Fortunately, I have a lot of Batman props and just general 1:12 accessories. This thing looks so good in the proper lighting that my best friend told me I need to put the set up for the photo shoot under glass as a permanent display.
Sadly, I don’t have the room for it. My loss is your gain because I took a LOT of pictures when I had it up (it takes up my entire shooting space) and you get to see them.
I didn’t use the 3D suit display for the Bat set up as I had another Bat Armory from Rhino Dioramas. However, I did take some shots of it for you. I’m a giver.
Do you need this? No, but I’d be lying if I said that no matter how you use them, they look damn cool. If you like things that are damn cool, here’s a link for you. If you only enjoy things that are NOT damn cool, I cannot help you.
If I could #humblebrag for a second, my Instagram account has been featured a couple of times in their newsletter. If you’re not following me on, as the kids say, the “IG,” then what are you even doing?
Seriously, give me a follow. The ol’ JC loves the attention. If you’re interested, go buy it here!
