Star Wars The Black Series Sith Trooper Review

Star Wars The Black Series Sith Trooper

The Black Series Sith Trooper is… a Black Series Trooper. From a Star Wars movie I’ve only seen once. Which again, I can’t stress how odd that is for me.

I was super pumped about the existence of a “Sith Trooper” when I saw the commercials. Then I saw the movie and realized the only difference between them and a regular non-Sith trooper is that these guys wear red.

Maybe their apptitude tests were better for the Empire?

Like a normal trooper would kill a civilian when ordered. A Sith Trooper would also take their shoes. So its extra evil. Sith Troopers don’t do the “leave a penny” part at the deli. A Sith Trooper doesn’t return their carts at the grocery store. Evil.

What’s in the the Black Series Sith Trooper box?

The Black Series Sith Trooper has two weapons. A blaster rifle, and a rifle blaster. One has a shoulder stock so maybe that’s the business model, with the other, of course, being a more party acceptable blaster.

Here are the weapons:

What doesn’t work with the Black Series Sith Trooper?

Dear lord. Look, the joints are useless, he has no range of motion on his head, his hip armor blocks leg articulation.

I just don’t understand why they would make what would be consistent troop building fodder, and an endless source of money so poorly designed.

Almost as if to add insult to injury, they left the peg hole for the First Order blaster, but we did not get a red blaster.

C’mon, Hasbro. Why can’t you get out of your own way?

What works with the Black Series Sith Trooper?

I like troopers, and now I have a Sith Trooper. Actually two, but more on that later. The red looks cool on my shelf.

I’m really trying here, people.

Should you purchase the Black Series Sith Trooper?

If you feel like you need it, wait until the price drops. I can’t imagine this guy will be in high demand. It looks like he can be had for $16 on the ‘bay.

If you don’t want to wait, here you go:
