I realize that calling it the Marvel Legends 80th Wolverine review is a bit misleading. It’s actually the 80th ANNIVERSARY Wolverine, and really, like the 8000th Wolverine Figure. You know who he is, what he does and his ranking in regards to what he does (Hint, he’s the best, Bub). Let’s jump into the figure and do another Wolverine review.
What’s in the Marvel Legends 80th Wolverine box?
We get Wolverine, two distinct head sculpts, 2 sets of hands and a Muramasa Blade. Easy breezy.
How about a few close-up shots?
What doesn’t work with the Marvel Legends 80th Wolverine figure?
There really isn’t a lot to complain about with this one, but I am going to try anyway.
The Marvel Legends 80th Wolverine should absolutely have butterfly shoulders. Every Wolverine should have butterfly shoulders. Every action figure ever made, should have butterfly shoulders. The only possible exception, ironically, would be a figure of a butterfly, as they lack “shoulders.”
Also, to the dude about to “well actually,” me… you will die alone.
I really enjoy his smirk face, but there aren’t a lot of situations where Wolverine should be smirking. I’m not a fan of the plastic claws hasbro uses, but I understand why they use them. That’s really all I can complain about.
What works with the Marvel Legends 80th Wolverine figure?
More often than not, we see Logan in Casual Friday attire, so this figure is welcomed. Maybe once the 3 pack drops with bone claws, I can recreate one of my favorite Wolverine panels.
I’ve loved every single 80th Anniversary figure I’ve picked up, and the Marvel Legends 80th Wolverine is no exception. Confession time… I’m a god damn adult, so I bought replacement claws for him like I do all of my Wolverines.
If you want a set, you can pick them up here.
The detail on both the tank top and blue jeans is pretty nice for a domestic figure, and give the impression you are looking at fabric. I appreciate those little details.
Should you purchase the Marvel Legends 80th Wolverine?
If you collect Legends, you should own this guy. If you just collect Mutants, you should have this guy. If you just collect WOLVERINE figures (and by now, I can have a shelf of just Wolverines), you should pick this guy up.
If you don’t care for the character, or at your tipping point for Logan figures, you can leave this on the shelf. If you want him, start here:
As always, let’s wrap up with some more pictures.
