I’m a sucker for a good Manipple Head, and the Manipple Doctor Strange is no exception. I picked up the headsculpt and cloak from Jie at VCTOYSBOX.
To be completely honest, I had no need to replace my other Doctor Strange cape. I remember at the time that I didn’t know who made that cloak. However, after owning this one, it HAS to be a Manipple.
The Manipple Doctor Strange headsculpt is really nice. Especially when you compare it to the stock Figuarts one. I know it’s not awful, but time hasn’t been kind to my perception of the original head sculpts. I’d go as far as to say we probably won’t get a better 1:12 Benedict Cumberbatch headsculpt.
There is one downside, and that is the neck and the head are one piece. So if you rock the Manipple Doctor Strange head, he won’t be looking up or down.
I’m ok with that because the final product is so darn good looking. Here are some pics to help you if you’re on the fence. Bonus, if you don’t already have a decent cloak for him, now you do. The only difference between this cloak and the other one is the color of the fabric inside.
