OLDBOY CTTS Boba Fett Custom Head Review

OLDBOY CTTS Boba Fett

The OLDBOY CTTS Boba Fett (or “Bob the Hunter,” as it was called) went up for preorder at the very end of last year.

As a kid, I LOVED Boba Fett. He was so mysterious and unlike the adults in my family, he rarely spoke. Of course, when you become an adult, you realize all the things you thought made him cool were really the blanks you filled in with your imagination. What were his hobbies? If he was a tree, what kind of tree would he be? Favorite pet? Had he ever loved before? What did his face look like?

Well, thanks to the OLDBOY CTTS Boba Fett, we at least have an answer to that last question. We learned a lot about his origin in Attack of the Clones. In Pre-Disney continuity, the last I read of Boba Fett, he was in his 80’s and had franchised out his persona. In other words, Boba Fett forever, baby!!

What does the OLDBOY CTTS Boba Fett custom head look like?

I’m glad you asked. You may remember the info from my other OLDBOY write-ups, like this one or this one. In case you don’t, you can find out more ordering details on his Facebook page by clicking here.

Should you get the OLDBOY CTTS Boba Fett head?

Well, yes. However, if you’re reading this and you don’t have one already, well, I have some bad news. He does limited runs on items like this. You can’t buy it new, but there is always a chance you can pick one up on the secondary market. For instance, I picked up this Lando head on eBay. For your own sanity, your best bet is to get in on the ground floor of new offerings. The only negative thing I can say about it is that right now, the head is just sitting on his shoulders. There is a peg hole but I’m afraid of breaking the Mafex Boba Fett figure. Normally, I’d soak the head in hot water for a few and then try it. However, I doubt water will play nicely with the clay used to mold the head or the paint job itself.

Yet, with just that one flaw to speak of, I find it hard to be negative at all about this head. It is an example of superb workmanship and just looks great in hand. Seriously, go support artists like this so we can all benefit from their amazing work.
